Analyst – Operations

This role provides real-time support to management teams, boards, investors, lenders and auditors in the maintenance, valuation, reconciliation and reporting of their derivatives portfolios. Operational excellence is critical to the maintenance of SSAE 18 SOC 1 certification. The Operations Analyst position will be based in the Woodlands, TX and report to the Director of Operations.

Job Requirements:

  • Value, settle and generate reports on open derivatives positions
  • Analyze client portfolios based on current and future production volumes
  • Build charts, strategies and presentations for client portfolio reviews
  • Provide annual audit support around derivatives positions
  • Develop new internal tools based around cutting-edge business intelligence software
  • Provide client support and spur development on our digital insights platform, FLOW

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Required)
  • Proficiency in all major Microsoft Office programs, with heavy emphasis on Excel
  • Working knowledge of financial modeling and reporting capabilities
  • Demonstrated performance in situations requiring significant analysis and organization
  • Previous experience with WordPress and/or BI platforms and/or ETRM software a plus

Analyst - Trading

This role will work hand-in-hand with the trading and strategy group to develop and assist in executing effective hedging strategies that protect cash flows for the clients of AEGIS Energy Risk. The candidate must be mathematically inclined and be able to thrive in a fast paced environment. The role requires an ability to assist in articulating and explaining complex derivative structures to clients, including senior level executives. This position will be based in the Woodlands, TX and report to Director of Trading.

Job Requirements:

  • Collaborate with the trading and strategy team to assist in developing and executing effective hedge strategies
  • Support traders by managing position reporting, trade blotter and confirmations
  • Constantly monitor energy markets and make suggestions based on the current fundamental views and current hedge positions
  • Regularly interact with client counterparties

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field such as mathematics, engineering, economics, finance and/or business
  • Professional MS Excel skills (including advanced formulas)
  • Existing knowledge of energy markets (preferred)
  • Highly Analytical and mathematically inclined
  • Ability to remain organized under fast paced and high stress scenarios

Business Development Manager

This role will work to drive sustainable financial growth by managing the sales process. As a part of a sales team, this person will source and develop prospective client relationships to ultimately negotiate and close business deals. The primary role to prospect for new clients by networking, cold calling and marketing, so they must be ambitious and energetic. This position will be based in The Woodlands, TX and will report directly to the Director of Sales and Business Development.

Job Requirements

  • Arrange meetings by generating the interest of prospective clients
  • Research, identify and track prospective clients, decision makers and referral sources through the company CRM system (Salesforce)
  • Attend industry and networking events and conferences
  • Grow, maintain and leverage a network of business relationships
  • Help to develop, negotiate and close new client contracts
  • Submit weekly sales pipeline reports
  • Enhance organization brand and reputation

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of sales, marketing and/or business development experience
  • Client prospecting plan, process and strategy

  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Ability to travel during the week
  • Oil and gas market knowledge (preferable)
