Chris Payne

Chris has over twenty-three years of experience and currently serves as the President of AEGIS SEF. Previously, he served as Chief Product Officer at AEGIS from 2020-2023. Before joining AEGIS, Chris was the Executive Vice President of Digital Solutions for Alight Solutions, where he drove the development and adoption of market-leading digital capabilities for 500+ clients and their 18 million users across all industries, including energy and financial services. Prior to this role, Chris transformed multiple Aon Hewitt (Alight predecessor company) consumer- and client-facing businesses. Before joining Alight, Chris spent over 10 years in consulting and energy leadership roles across retail and wholesale power operations with Arthur Andersen, NewPower, and Direct Energy (Centrica). Chris graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management Information Systems and Business Honors from the University of Texas at Austin. He has successfully completed a leadership development program at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and is a former board member of the Woodlands Economic Development Partnership.

Outside of the office, Chris enjoys spending time with his family, playing tennis and golf, and doing pretty much any other outdoor activity.
