Karen joined AEGIS in 2016 and has been a critical part of building the hedge strategy and execution capabilities of the firm. Karen has spent the past 20 years in the energy and finance industry across all aspects of energy trading and risk management. Prior to joining AEGIS Energy Risk, Karen served as a Financial Trader at Pacific Summit where she created market maker functions for traders and customers and managed aggregate gas risk associated with long-term power deals. Previously, Karen served as Vice President at BNP Paribas in Houston on the financial desk where she managed dynamic term energy portfolios and mitigated risk for client hedging activities with varied terms, shapes, and risk profiles. Prior to BNP, Karen worked at Engage/Coastal Energy managing the Mid-Continent physical desk. Karen graduated from Texas A&M with a BBA in Accounting.
Outside of the office, Karen enjoys riding horses, running and is active in her church and enjoys spending time with friends and family.
