Chris Sorrells

Chris currently serves as our Vice President of Physical Solutions. He brings over 23 years of experience in the energy space. Most recently, he was the Director of Corporate Development for Ancova Energy. Prior to this, he spent 5 years as Chief Financial Officer of 4 AM Midstream, a private equity-backed midstream company. In his former role, he spent 16 years with Chesapeake Energy, where he was the Assistant Controller responsible for Chesapeake’s marketing and midstream accounting departments. At one point his team had responsibility for over $1 billion in monthly revenues from nearly every producing basin in the United States. Chris has significant, hands-on experience in multiple areas of oil & gas including midstream and marketing accounting, finance, commercial planning, and negotiations, and ETRM design and implementations.  

Chris holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance from the University of Central Oklahoma where he was also a four-year member of the track and field team. He is proud to call Oklahoma City home where he lives with his wife and two daughters. He is active in the community and has a passion for helping businesses and organizations grow.   

Outside of the office, Chris enjoys traveling with his family and coaching and cheering on his daughter’s volleyball, basketball, and dance teams.
